STEM Initiatives

Tosidoh's Professional are part of the Four Corners American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) Professional Chapter. Four Corners AISES is a non-profit organization aimed to empower and inspire Native American students, professionals and communities by promoting science, technology, engineering, and math initiatives and programs in the Four Corners Region.

Although American Indian and Alaskan Natives make up 1.2 percent of the total population, they represent only 0.4 percent of all engineering bachelor's degree recipients, 0.3 percent of the engineering workforce, and 0.1 percent of all engineering faculty. 

At the Tohatchi Energy Center, Tosidoh is working with its STEM partners to foster tribal interest in math and science and create lasting pathways for tribal students to pursue academic and professional careers in technical fields.
